Top Ten Tuesday

April 2:  Top Ten Five Characters I Would Crush On If I Were Also A Fictional Character

My choices of fictional boyfriends have made me realize that I need to read more classics/literary fiction. All but one of my choices here are from pop fiction series. Maybe I'm a way less serious reader than I like to tell myself I am?

  1. Rhett Butler - Swoon. It's been too long since I read this to give specific examples, but I remember seriously crushing on Rhett (and kind of wanting to kick Scarlett in the shin for the way she treats him).
Gone With The Wind, Margaret Mitchell

  2. Jack Reacher - I clearly have a thing for "bad boys" who aren't, really. I like guys who might break a rule from time to time, but always for a good reason. Reacher, though he doesn't always behave according to convention, is always the "good guy."
    Jack Reacher Series, Lee Child

  3. Carlos "Ranger" Manoso - See, Reacher.
I know I should want Morelli, he's the much more stable (and not undesirable) choice, but I just can't help myself.
    Stephanie Plum Series, Janet Evanovich

  4. Joe Morelli - Comments on Ranger aside, I still wouldn't kick Morelli to the curb. They're both great - luckily I am not Stephanie Plum and don't have to choose.
    Stephanie Plum Series, Janet Evanovich

  5. Scot Harvath - more badassery. a la Reacher/Ranger/Morelli.
    Scot Harvath Series, Brad Thor

Also Rourke, from JD Robb's "In Death" series.
